Cassidy wanted us to take her out on a jet ski for her birthday, so we went up to Laconia to a place we went last year. When we got there, they had 3 jet skiis and the numbers on them were : #20, 21, 22, 23, 24.
Keith had to take a test to get a boaters license first and while we were waiting, out went #20, then #21, then #22 , til only #23 and #24 were left.Of course we all knew we would get #23 in our heart, knowing Alec would give his special love to his sister on her birthday. So as Keith was taking the test, the girl started untying #23 and i asked her which jet ski we would be taking and she said "this one".
Then strangely Keith didn't pass the test, which last year he got 23 out of 25 questions right and passed. So the girl said I could take it, I told her there was no way I'd pass it and asked Cass if we could take her zip lining instead which was her 2nd choice. Cass had her heart set on jetskiing and I felt so bad, knowing I couldn't pass the test and knowing we were going to get #23 jetski. The girl that worked there was so sweet and was doing everything to help us , trying to let Keith take it again with a different address but the computer wouldn't let him. So I told Cass I would try and with Cassidy's help and alot of guidance from the girl, I passed the test. Of course Alec would guide this girl with compassion for us and instead of saying sorry if you don't pass the test you can't rent it, but instead she was determined to get us on that jetski. Instead of worrying, I should've known Alec would make this happen for Taa.
While we knew that we would get #23, we were still amazed as we always are by Alec.
And last week, on a whim, Uncle Bob and Aunt Donna called and asked to stop by as they were going to be somewhat close by. While I was anxious, I said sure they could come by. And it was nice to see them. Uncle Bob was bragging about his Grandaughter, Charlotte, and he said all of this in the same sentence,
" She calls her other Nana "Bubbie", she is such a "Smart Alec".
