Al turns my tears to laughter

The other night at work, one of the girls I work with  who is so sweet was talking to me and she asked me a question, but  she didn't know the answer had alot to do with Alec, so as I answered her and talked about Alec and my eyes filled up and my voice cracked, she so sweetly asked if I wanted her to hug me , I told her I was ok. Then she knew to lighten the conversation and asked about Cassidy and somehow I asked her if she knew the book, "Oh David", and she laughed and said YES  I love that book. I couldn't believe she knew this book (she is 21). I told her Alec loved this book and she said  ME TOO, she said that she bought it at a book fair at school when she was little and her Mom was like why did you buy this silly book. It's a book about this boy who is always getting into trouble, it's short with just a few words on each page.  Then she said, I Loved the part when he went to school and forgot his pants  I cracked up every time, I said Alec loved that part too..he would smile and laugh every time too.
I truly felt Alec turned my tears into laughter.. he took a very sad and difficult moment for me and replaced it with such a funny sweet memory  all through a very sweet girl.  I could hear his words , "Don't be sad Mama, I have something to make you happy".

And last night at work, my client pulled out a brochure of an Inn she visited to show me and the first thing I saw was that it had 23 guest rooms.
Plus last week at work, my client just kept saying "23 years", she had her job for 23 years, over and over again, she must have said 23 at least 8 times, and as I left work the license plate on the truck in front of me was  "23 X",  I just figured out the other day that the X was a Kiss from Al,  sorry Al sometimes it takes Mama a little while to figure things out..I love you Bubs  XOXO

23's on shirts

This morning as I pulled up to Cassidy's bus stop, there was a boy with a number on the back of his shirt. I could only see the second number which was a 3 , I said to Cass  I wonder if his shirt has number 23 on it. Just then he shifted his back pack that was blocking the number and we could see clearly that it was "23". It was magic  like he heard me and moved his backpack for us.  Last night me and Keith were watching a show and the girl on the show had a "23" on her shirt. And a few weeks ago when I picked Cassidy up from school after her nature's classroom trip, there was a girl walking around with a "23" on her shirt.

And last weekend we were planning what we could do in our back yard, we have a big spot at the bottom of our steps where grass won't grow, so Keith measured for pavers so we wouldn't have to walk through dirt. We both agreed that we'd rather have grass there but we haven't been able to get it to grow. I said it would be nice to get sod for that spot, but figured it would cost too much and we didn't know where to get it. So we went to Lowes and as we walked in there were rolls of sod, the first thing we see. It was so weird, we had never seen it there and as we were looking at it, a man came over and said ,it this sod and we said yeah and he said wow I've never seen them have sod before.  So of course we got it and it cost way less than the pavers.   This is the kind of Magic that Alec was always capable of. He would say something and it would happen, we were in awe at this simple yet magical moment.
