BUNNAY

When Alec had the surgery to remove his port, ( 4/29/2010). We had given him a singing stuffed animal Bunny for being so brave.  He loved it so much .  He had to always have it with him and he played him over and over only when in the car, on rides, or in his stroller.  He named it  "Bunnay".

On the Shuttle bus ride from Hershey Lodge to Hershey Park,  Alec played  Bunnay of course,  but the mean bus driver lady said whoever is playing that music must stop. She said it so everyone could hear her tourist talk that noone was listening to anyway. We felt bad and sad  for Al and told him he had to wait to play Bunnay.  He was upset.

But on the shuttle van from The Residence Inn to Sesame Place,  Al made friends with the driver, of course.  This driver was so nice.  Al told us to ask him if he could play Bunnay (because he was nervous after the other meanie driver).  The driver said to Al,  "You ask me buddy", so Al asked him and he said sure you can play it.  That made Al so happy.  Al asked him what his name was and he said  "NAY"  , and Al said   "JUST LIKE BUN-NAY"!

Here's a picture of Al holding  BUNNAY

And sharing Bunnay with Hershey Kiss, very reluctantly.

BIG smile on my face. :) It truly was the little things that meant so much to Alec. He helped all of us to pause and see the beauty that's all around us.

♥xoxo♥

I remember Bunnay and how much Alec loved him... can still picture Alec holding on to Bunnay while it was singing along. :-)
