So it's been awhile since I've written on here, sometimes I just have no words.
But Alec never ceasing in giving us signs of his love for us and his loved ones.
Everyday and several times throughout the day, he surprises us with a sign to let us know he is with us.
Awhile back I went on my first interview for a job as a hairstylist at a nursing home, It was in May of 2012, it was so hard to be there but I braved up and felt I should try to do something and  contribute to our finances.  I was hired as a back up stylist and sat in on a meeting with a group of other stylists and the bosses, they went around the table asking everyone about themselves. It was awful, I hoped she'd skip me and I think I was just so vague in my answer so as not to lose it. Anyway, they only called on me once and I couldn't work that time and did not call again,( I figured it was because I just sat there and didn't talk much at the meeting), then I received a letter a few months ago saying I would be terminated if I didn't contact them, so I did and they had me go in and show me the ropes one day. Then I was asked to work. Now I officially have 7 odd jobs now, I know that I didn't get called for any of the jobs I applied for because there was no way I could've kept it together to be at a job, but now it helps me to stay busy working. I still have no desire to do things, but working is different, work I can do...usually.  So on the day I went to the nursing home, I was nervous sitting in my car waiting to go in and the song "Firework" by Katy Perry came on which as many do reminds me of Alec and I look up and see a sign that says 10-23, it was a condo unit and had a sign pointing to the unit #'s which were 10 thru 23. I drove over to it got out and took a picture for me and to show Keith and Cass and when I got back in my car it was 8:23.  My Bubbies always give me extra love when I need it most, I had to gather myself after that to go in and it was really nice to care for the elderly doing their hair, they were so sweet to me.

I have always considered you and Keith two of the strongest, most compassionate people I know. You are an inspiration to me everyday ....l Know Alec is proud of you and all you do! Xx

Laura,

You, Keith & Cassidy are so much stronger than you may think or feel. Alec gives you the strength inside that you need. I guess he always has, hasn't he? Whether it was a smile when you were feeling down or a laugh when you needed it the most, Al always came through...and he still is. He brings smiles and laughter and many, many signs to the kids and me, too. What I love so much about all of that, is that Alec is so present in our lives each and every day, there's truly not a day that goes by when we don't talk about him and feel him with us.

I love that you are working, everything you do is making a difference in someone else's life. You have so much goodness inside of you, and your doing for others is helping you inside at the same time. After all, it's probably all part of Alec's "plan." :)

Love you,
Holly

Laura, I am glad to see another post from you. I know how hard it is to talk about your family to people. I sometimes hate to say anything about John when I first meet people. Some people are very kind and understanding when they hear our story. I am happy for you that you are working and keeping busy.
