Nicole, Thank you for sharing. As I read it I was transported to being with Alec again.

There are so many things I think of when I think of Alec. (I will try and name just a few) These things are some of the simplest things. Things that you just won't forget. The big beautiful eyes and huge genuine smile. Simple and completely genuine. When you are chosen to be his friend, he gave you his complete attention. He wanted to know so much about you, and very sincerely. He would like to hold your hand sometimes, tell you about his day. Ask about yours. We (myself, Laura, Alec and Kevin jr) would walk sometimes the boys sharing a carriage occasionally... Sweet bickering between them about snacks, or seat positions, or who could push them. Or how sometimes Alec would get frustrated because he couldn't get a word in with us (he did knick name me motor mouth). And even that, the cute, carefully specifically chosen knicknames he gave to so many of us. Sometimes finding out Alec used a "bad" word, confusing his parents to where he learned it from, only to find out he may have overheard me say it ?? It made me laugh then and it still brings a smile to my face. Not that saying a bad word is good, but let's face it, his face was so damn cute, it didn't matter what word he did or didn't learn from me! Seeing him so carefully pull apart his leaves, so simple and so relaxing (I've tried it) and so many things... that will never leave my heart. I think of him (and Laura, Keith and Cassidy) everyday. I'm blessed that I am part of their lives. Alec is and will always be a special boy to me. miss ya
