2 years old. It made me so aware that when you hear sirens, someone is in dire need of help and a prayer. I hoped and was sure that many people prayed for Alec on his ambulence ride to the hospital. From then on when ever Alec heard a siren he would say,
"can we say a prayer", and I would start the prayer and he would repeat the words I said. Sometimes it was a simple, "Please , God, bless that person". And other times it was long,
" Lord Jesus, please take care of the person that needs help, that they are taken care of and healed, please watch over them and guard and protect them and make them all better...", sometimes we'd say an Our Father or Hail Mary too. He repeated every word I said no matter how long. It was necessary for him to pray for someone in need. I always said a silent prayer in case Al didn't hear the siren, but as soon as heard the siren he'd ask to pray right away.
Al loved to say prayers, he loved God and Jesus and Mary and all the Saints and Angels, and Us and Everyone
I have not been able to really pray , but the sound of a siren , brings a
"God bless them"-- I have to.
