I have not been feeling up to writing lately, my sorrow consumes me. But I do not want to let Alec's blog go too long, so I would like to open it up to anyone who would like to share an Alec story, whether it be a story about Alec or a way Alec has inspired you or signs you have received from Al. I know it will be a comfort to me and us and I know there are so many amazing stories and inspirations of Alec.  Anyone who would like to share can email me or send it and I will post it for you.
Thank you

Laura,

I love that you've asked for us to share some of our memories and signs. I hope they bring smiles to your faces. We see so many signs and have so many memories, but for now I'll share our most recent:

This memory came to us in the car the other day. One day, years ago, Nicholas was saying something about going home, and Alec broke out into this huge belly laugh. We had no idea what made him laugh so hard, but you asked Nicholas to repeat what he had said. He did, and sure enough... Alec burst out laughing again. The sound of his beautiful laugh made us all laugh. Finally, we realized it was when Nicholas said the word "home." Every time thereafter, when Nicholas would see Al, he'd go up to him and simply say, "home" and Alec would burst out laughing. He thought it was just the funniest thing. Nicholas loved being reminded of this memory and the fact that he could make Alec laugh. :) The sound of his laughter was a song to us all.

The kids and I have been seeing so many signs, they see giraffes at school several times per week - on children's shirts, on books, on posters, one girl was even wearing giraffe print socks!. We went to the Hungry Tiger a few weeks ago, and our ticket number was 23. We went to the Outback, and our beeper number was 23. Alec surrounds us with his love every single day.

I'll share more memories, too!

Love you all,
Holly ♥

A favorite of Papa's & ours:

Alec was upset about something, and Papa said, "Al, there's no whining in Billerica!" Al said, "How about Burlington??" We howled and still do, to this day, when we think of him saying that!
