Maureen has shared with us signs she received from Alec and she said we could share---this is from the summer and fall after Scott's accident:
From Maureen:
I know you guys see signs from Alec all the time and although I never met him I feel like I know him from all of the stories I heard and from reding your blog. While Scott was in the hospital in the summer, I heard so much about him. #23 has always been my lucky number. While Scott was in the hospital, I did alot of grocery shopping for Darlene, each time I was at the deli, my # was 23. Twice I went to pick up dinner for Joey (Darlene's son) while Darlene was at the hospital and my order # was 23. I run road races every weekend and throughout the month of August my bib # was 23 -- 4 times! I have always looked for this number and it has been lucky for me and I have never seen it as much as in Aug. & Sept. Scott says it was Alec thanking me for taking care of everyone while he was in the hospital.
Last weekend (Oct 2012), was the first time I was pushing a disabled child in a road race in Plymouth, I was so nervous! Once I met the little boy I was paired up with, I knew I was going to be fine, as his race # was #23. I was paired up with another girl dressed up as Wonder Woman (my favorite running outfit), and the little boy's (Noah) Dad was originally from Billerica. As I ran with Noah, he was singing the whole way! At the beginning of the race we were chatting and he told me that the Giraffe was his favorite animal because, "They can see everything from way up there!"
And he wanted to wear a green wig for his costume because Green is his favorite color but he could only find a a rainbow one.
Maureen,
